GTP-5 Total Phosphorus Water Quality Online Automatic Monitoring Instrument is used for continuous automatic monitoring of the total phosphorus concentration in water bodies. It employs the national standard ammonium molybdate spectrophotometric method, and integrates automatic sampling, high temperature and high pressure digestion, colour reaction, photoelectric detection, data storage and remote transmission. It can work stably for a long time without human supervision, and is widely utilised in real-time monitoring of total phosphorus in pollution source discharge, municipal sewage, surface water and ecological governance situations.

Core principle
Water samples are digested and oxidised with sulphate under high temperature, high pressure and acidic conditions to convert different types of phosphorus into orthophosphate; Reacts with ammonium molybdate and potassium antimony tartrate to generate phosphomolybdic acid which is reduced to form a blue complex. The equipment measures variations in absorbance at specific wavelengths and automatically converts them to concentrations of total phosphorus using standard curves. The test findings meet the requirements of national standard GB11893-89 and HJ/T 103-2003.
Featured Applications
- Urban sewage treatment plant: On-line monitoring of total phosphorus in the input, biochemical section and exit to guarantee stable and compliant discharge
- Sewage outlets of industrial enterprises. Total phosphorus supervision in wastewater of businesses such as chemical, culinary, electroplating, printing and dyeing, aquaculture
- Real-time monitoring and warning of comprehensive total phosphorus concentration of wastewater in the sewage treatment facilities of industrial park
- River reservoirs/drinking water sources: automatic monitoring stations of the water quality in the watershed for assessing the risk of water bodies’ eutrophication
- Municipal pipeline network and pump station: monitoring of total phosphorus at drainage outputs to prevent illegal discharge, leakage and unexpected pollution

Installation and Maintenance
- Things you need to install:You need a separate monitoring station that is at least 10 square meters in size, with a level, corrosion-resistant floor, air conditioning, a solid power source, and adequate grounding.
- Requirements for pipelines:The sampling tube, overflow tube, and waste liquid tube are all set up independently so that there is no blockage or backflow. This keeps the water samples stable while they are being moved.
- Regular upkeep:Do maintenance once a month for about one to two hours each time, and change out reagents, consumables, and peristaltic pump tubing on a regular basis.
- Cleaning and taking care of:Automatic cleaning of pipelines and regular cleaning of measurement tubes and digesting units to keep them from getting blocked or crystallizing.
- Managing Calibration:It can be calibrated automatically or manually, and the cycle can be set to last anywhere from 1 to 99 days, making sure that readings stay accurate over time.
- Treatment of waste fluids:Collect and analyze waste liquids in a consistent way, get rid of them in a way that follows hazardous waste rules, and don’t let them out directly.
