The JPB-607A is a portable dissolved oxygen meter for use outside. It uses polarographic detection and a DO-957-Q dissolved oxygen electrode. The key features are that it’s easy to use, has a lot of compensations, a long battery life, and is very safe.
The device monitors temperature (-5.0 to 110.0 °C), saturation (0.0 to 20%), and dissolved oxygen (0.00 to 20.00 mg/L). Manually or automatically alter salinity, air pressure, and temperature. IP65 takes 200 measures in bad weather. Outdoor oxygen detection for science, sewage, environmental monitoring, and aquaculture is simplified.

Core Highlights
- High precision: Dissolved oxygen electronic unit indicator error is ± 0.10mg/L, and temperature inaccuracy is ± 0.2 ℃. Multiple compensating functions ensure data reliability.
- IP65 robust protection: dustproof and waterproof, appropriate for hard outdoor conditions, not scared of splashing water and dust, more reassuring to use.
- A large lithium battery supports PC and mobile power charging and provides visual alerts for undervoltage and charging status for worry-free outside use.
- Continuous and balanced reading are supported, and the balanced mode automatically locks consistent data for diverse monitoring needs.
- Comprehensive compensation: automated temperature compensation+manual pressure and salinity correction for varied conditions and water bodies, more stable measurement.
Featured Applications
- Aquaculture: Instantaneous compliance and oxygen level changes are made possible by IP65-protected outdoor dissolved oxygen monitoring for fish, shrimp, and other ponds.
- Environmental monitoring: Mobile surface water, sewage plant effluent, etc. inspection with multiple compensation functions for accurate data in complex contexts and compliance.
- Sewage treatment: continuous oxygen measurement in sewage aeration tanks and biochemical reaction tanks, portable for pool operation.
- Research experiment: Field water quality sampling, data storage and traceability, appropriate for sophisticated outdoor experiments.
- Beverage industry: Dissolved oxygen detection of production water, high precision for water quality standards, portability for multi-point testing on production locations.

Daily maintenance and precautions
Installation and usage precautions
- Installing the electrode involves inserting the electrode hanger into the instrument’s T-shaped port, clamping the electrode firmly, inserting the plug into the interface, and tightening the nut to provide a stable connection.
- Wristband installation: Pull the wristband switch to open the circular hole, insert it into the instrument housing shaft and close it, and operate the lower slot in the same way for easy handheld carrying.
- Calibration standard: Polarization electrode is required before calibration (new electrode takes 60 minutes, disconnection does not exceed 1 hour takes 25 minutes); Zero oxygen calibration uses a 5% sodium sulfite solution, full calibration uses air or saturated water, and after stabilization, press the confirm button to complete.
- Measurement operation: After immersing the electrode in the water sample, shake it horizontally at a speed of 20-40cm per second (to avoid bubbles), press the measurement button to start, stabilize the reading, and switch the display of dissolved oxygen, saturation, and current values by pressing the mode button.
Key daily maintenance points
- Use a towel soaked in cleaning solution and water to clean the shell instead of xylene and toluene. Dry and clean the electrode socket to prevent contamination and water penetration.
- Keep the electrode out of the sodium sulfite solution and store it according to the manual. Refill electrolytes every two weeks to two months.
- Damaged membranes must be replaced immediately. Repolarize and calibrate after replacement.
- Combustible and explosive compounds, high temperatures above 85 °C, and frequent battery recharging when not in use can damage batteries.
- Data management: Export critical data regularly to avoid loss. Restoring the instrument to factory settings erases all data, so be careful.
