Installation and operation points
Specifications for installation
- The conductivity controller is mounted on a panel, and there needs to be a 92.5 × 92.5mm hole in the distribution box so that a matching fastener may be used to hold it in place.
- The electrode can be installed in a number of ways, including on the side wall, on the top flange, in a pipeline, or underwater. You need to pick a spot with a steady flow rate and no bubbles, then place it such that the water flows upstream to avoid dead space and gas buildup.
- Dedicated cables and wiring must be used for the electrode signal transmission line. It cannot be in the same pipe or attached to power or control lines, since this would cause signal interference.
- The place where the installation takes place should not be too hot, too humid, corrosive, or in direct sunlight. Putting it in a control box is a good idea to make sure the equipment works properly.
Important Rules for Operation
- To do the calibration, put the electrode in a solution with a standard conductivity of 1413 μ S/cm, then go to the “Electrode Coefficient” menu and fine-tune the coefficient until the observed value matches the standard value. This finishes the calibration.
- Setting up the outputs: You can change the measurement range that goes with the 4-20mA signal, and you can choose between a second set of current outputs or RS485 connection if you need to send data from afar.
- Set the alarm settings so that the relay trigger values and hysteresis are based on how the system is working. It can also handle high and low points, interval control modes, and different warning situations.
- TDS Conversion: You can set your own TDS conversion factors between 0.30 and 1.00, with 0.7 being the default number. This works for a variety of water samples.
