Liquid Mass Flow Controller Working Principle
The SI-20FDL liquid mass flow controller calculates the mass flow rate of a fluid by measuring the heat required for the medium to flow through a heating element (typically a platinum wire).
When liquid passes through the heating element, the element absorbs heat, causing its temperature to rise and its resistance to change. By measuring this resistance change, the flow rate can be determined, and the flow rate can be controlled by adjusting the valve through a feedback control system.
While measuring the flow rate, the controller also monitors the pressure at the liquid inlet and outlet in real time, helping users to fully understand and control the entire reaction process.
In actual operation, the operator sets the desired flow rate value via a display screen or communication interface. The controller uses a PID control algorithm to adjust the opening of the control valve based on the deviation between the actual flow rate and the set value. Changes in the valve opening alter the liquid flow rate through the sensor, gradually bringing the actual flow rate closer to the set value. Continuous adjustment of the control valve eventually stabilizes the actual flow rate near the set value.
