Online Dust detector is suitable for real-time and accurate detection of dust concentration in factory workshops. Overall flameproof (d) structure, fixed installation method. Widely used for workshop dust concentration detection, including pm2.5/pm10.

Sino-Inst Online Dust detector is equipped with standard bus RS485 and 4~20mA standard signal simultaneous output, 1 group of relay switch output, optional frequency output 200-1000Hz, Hart protocol signal, 1~5V output, wireless transmission (10-50 kilometers or unlimited distance). Online Dust Detector Working Principle

Our online dust detector uses the principle of laser scattering.

Laser scattering method: measures the degree of scattering of light by particles in the air.

When light passes through air containing particles, the particles scatter the light. The detector calculates the dust concentration by measuring the intensity of the scattered light.

This sensor consists of a sampling head, a detection device, a single-chip microcontroller system, and an air extraction system. It offers fast and accurate measurements, high detection sensitivity, stable performance, and simple maintenance. Utilizing new technologies such as laser scattering technology and a highly reliable air extraction system, this sensor offers superior quality and technical advantages.

It is wall-mounted and works in conjunction with a controller. The controller’s single-chip microcontroller processes the data uploaded by the dust concentration meter, ultimately providing data display and output control.

Technical Support

Since most production workshops are explosion-proof zones, the primary consideration when selecting a dust detector is its explosion-proof rating. From a safety perspective, prioritize models certified for dual-environment explosion protection against both gases and dust.

Fixed dust detectors can be installed with a fixed bracket, pipe, or wall mount. The installation location should be in an area where dust gas may occasionally be present in the air during normal operation; at a release point where dust gas is likely to accumulate and be easily sampled.

In conveyor belt transport, install it 0.5 to 2 meters above the transfer point. In production workshops, install it approximately 2.5 meters above a pillar or wall. In areas with grinders, install it 0.5 to 2 meters above the grinder.

Bus systems, also known as RS485, and daisy-chain systems, also known as 4-20mA. Generally, most bus systems use 4-core shielded cables with two power wires and two signal wires, enabling longer transmission distances of approximately 1-2 km. Daisy-chain systems use 3-core cables with two power wires and one signal wire, where the power negative terminal and signal wire share the same conductor, allowing shorter transmission distances within 1 km.
