Installation and wiring
Installation method (multi scenario adaptation)
Supports six installation methods: top insertion, flow type, top flange type, side wall installation, sinking type, and pipeline installation. During installation, the front end of the sensor should be at least 2cm away from the bottom/side wall of the container to ensure interference free measurement.
Electrical wiring
Standard 4-core twisted pair shielded wire, with clear line sequence definition. Before wiring, check the sequence to avoid faults; Waterproof treatment should be applied to the wiring area to adapt to underwater/humid environments:
- Red: Power cord (12~24VDC+)
- Black: Ground (GND)
- Blue: 485A
- White: 485B
Maintenance and Calibration
Routine maintenance
- Inductive electrodes are almost maintenance free, and mild scaling/contamination of the casing does not affect operation;
- When cleaning, use a soft bristled brush/sandpaper to remove attachments, rinse with distilled water, and calibrate;
- Slight scratches on the surface of the electrode have no impact and should be avoided from penetrating the electrode casing.
Calibration operation
- Zero point calibration
- Rinse the sensor with distilled water and dry it. After powering on, place it vertically in the air and let it stand for 3 minutes until the value stabilizes. Then, use Modbus command to write 0 to complete the calibration.
- Slope calibration
- Place the sensor vertically into a 20% full-scale to full-scale salinity standard solution, ensuring that the front end is at least 2cm away from the container wall. Write the value of the standard solution multiplied by 10 to complete the slope calibration.
