Why choose DSP-101B digital sensor?
- High precision measurement: 1mV high resolution, one point calibration mode, precise capture of ORP values, reflecting the true state of water quality oxidation-reduction
- Intelligent temperature compensation: Built in PT1000 thermistor, automatic temperature compensation, offsets the interference of temperature on measurement, and ensures more stable data
- Dual signal output: RS485 (Modbus/RTU)+4-20mA dual signal, compatible with industrial automation systems and conventional display instruments, with strong adaptability
- Standardized installation: 3/4 “G-threaded universal interface, easy to install, suitable for various water treatment pipelines and equipment
- Industrial grade protection: able to withstand working temperatures of 0-50 ℃ and working pressures of less than 0.2MPa, suitable for complex working conditions in industrial sites
Featured Applications
- Industrial wastewater: ORP testing for chemical, electroplating, and printing and dyeing wastewater, guiding the addition of chemicals and process adjustments
- Civil water quality: monitoring of redox balance in swimming pool, landscape water, and drinking water supply pipelines
- Chemical production: online control of oxidation-reduction status of chemical solutions and process water
- Aquaculture: Real time monitoring of ORP in aquaculture water bodies to ensure ecological balance of water bodies

Installation and wiring
Installation requirements
- 3/4 “G thread interface, directly connected to pipelines/equipment, firmly installed and anti loose
- The probe is completely submerged in the water being measured, avoiding areas with dense bubbles, impurities, and strong electromagnetic interference sources
- Suggest installing in areas with gentle water flow, separating wiring from power lines to reduce signal interference
Electrical wiring (four wire system, color coded)
| Wire Color | Definition | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Red | V+ | 24VDC Power Positive |
| Black | V- | 24VDC Power Negative/GND |
| White | A | RS485A Signal Terminal |
| Blue | B | RS485B Signal Terminal |
| Extension Wire | 4-20mA | 4-20mA Analog Output |
After the wiring is completed, it is necessary to carefully check to confirm that there is no reverse or virtual connection, in order to avoid damaging the sensor after power on; Keep the wiring connections dry to prevent moisture.
Maintenance and Care
Calibration Specification
- Using one point calibration, factory pre calibration, no calibration required for non measurement errors exceeding the range
- During calibration, immerse the probe in a standard ORP buffer and send a Modbus calibration command after the value stabilizes
- After calibration, rinse the probe with distilled water, dry it, and put it into use
Routine Maintenance
- Regularly wipe the probe attachment with a soft damp cloth, and prohibit scratching the detection surface with hard objects
- When the probe scales, gently wash it with dilute hydrochloric acid and rinse it with distilled water to avoid residual reagents affecting the measurement
- When idle for a long time, the probe should be cleaned and soaked in a special protective solution, sealed and stored to prevent aging
- Regularly check the sealing of cables and joints to prevent abnormal signals caused by water ingress and corrosion
