Why choose this digital sensor?
- Built-in temperature sensor with ±3% high accuracy for precise optical detection
- Two signal outputs: RS-485 and 4-20mA; works with a lot of devices
- Industrial protection: IP68 rating, POM housing, can be used in water up to 20m deep
- Easy to set up and uses little power: 3/4NPT thread, 0.2W@12V, and works for 24 hours straight.
- Easy to take care of: cleaning the windows is easy, and calibration only needs to be done every two points.
Featured Applications
- Environmental water quality monitoring: Chlorophyll monitoring of rivers, lakes, reservoirs, and oceans to reliably assess eutrophication.
- Controlling aquaculture: monitoring freshwater and seawater ponds and circular aquaculture systems, warning of excessive algal growth, and protecting aquaculture water bodies ecologically.
- Online chlorophyll monitoring in water plants and drinking water sources prevents algal pollution and ensures drinking water safety.
- Landscape water management: monitoring park artificial lakes, residential landscape pools, and urban rivers to maintain water quality and prevent algae blooms.

Installation and wiring
Installation requirements
- Adopting 3/4NPT pipe threads for immersion installation, the installation position should be kept at least 3cm away from the side wall of the water body and at least 10cm away from the bottom, avoiding dead zones of water flow and areas with dense bubbles;
- Avoid severe mechanical impact on sensors during installation to prevent damage to optical components;
- Cable laying should avoid tension to prevent internal circuit breakage and ensure stable signal transmission.
Electrical wiring (4-core twisted pair shielded wire+yellow current output wire)
- Red line: power cord (12~24VDC)
- Black wire: Ground wire (GND)
- Blue line: 485A
- White line: 485B
- Yellow line: 4-20mA current output (can be suspended when not in use)
All wiring connections must be waterproofed and sealed, and anti-corrosion external cables should be used for outdoor/underwater use.
Maintenance
- Regularly rinse the sensor with tap water, and gently wipe stubborn dirt with household detergent to keep the measuring window clean;
- Check whether the cables are damaged or tight, adjust and fix them in a timely manner to avoid line faults;
- When the error exceeds the limit, perform two-point calibration. During calibration, the front end of the sensor should be at least 10cm away from the bottom of the container, and let it stand for 3-5 minutes before operation;
- Long term disuse and cleaning of sensors, proper drying protection, and storage in a dry environment of -5~65 ℃.
